It is important with phone or online counseling and therapy that the client discloses as much as possible about their thoughts and their feelings as the Counselor is not face to face with the client to hear voice tone, and see facial expressions and body language.
Phone counseling/therapy may be ideal for more short-term counseling/therapy. Phone or online counseling/therapy is clearly more content oriented and can be very beneficial for those who now may feel more comfortable with a direct approach when not face to face.
Individual Online Counseling
At the Bayridge Family Center we want to provide you with a safe place and a professional and caring person to talk with. Individual online counseling combines the best of internet counseling and face to face counseling through our secure virtual office. Through this secure room you will be able to see and hear your therapist and talk to them directly through a microphone and web cam, or you will be able to see and hear your therapist and you can communicate by text. This wonderful use of technology lets you cut out the cost of gas and the missed time from work.
These appointments are booked like regular appointments and last for approximately 50 minutes. We would require an email address so our therapist could email you a link to the virtual office. The therapist would go online at the preset appointment time and open up the virtual office and invite you in. Payment will be taken by credit card.
